Our workouts emphasize all aspects of the game such as dribbling, shooting, footwork, speed/agility, etc. We are currently accepting registrations for boys and girls who are looking to improve and sharpen their basketball skills in the months leading up to the start of the next basketball season.
Meet Our Instructors

Richard Hurley has been coaching basketball for over 19 years. Coach Hurley is the current Head Varsity Boys' basketball coach at Troy High School. In his 4 seasons at Troy, he as led his teams to 4 consecutive sectional championship games, winning the tiltle in 2013. Prior to coaching at Troy, he was head coach of his alma mater Bishop Maginn High School. In his 5 seasons as head coach his teams complied an overall record of 91-31. Over that time the Griffins won 2 sectional titles, one league championship and one NYS championship. Hurley’s 2008 team went on to compete in the NYS Federation tournament and finished with a final state ranking of second in the state and 24th in the country by USA Today. Coach Hurley has been named "Coach of the Year" by the Times Union newspaper and news Channel 13. Coach Hurley is a teacher of the game. At his camp, the fundamentals of both offense and defense will be taught in a challenging and fast paced format. Each player will be able to take what he/she has learned from this camp and apply these skills to make themselves a better basketball player.

Mike Grasso has been training athletes in the Capital District for over 10 years. His training includes speed, agility, strength and conditioning. The athletes Grasso has trained range from middle and high school age to college and professional athletes. In his 10 years as a trainer, Grasso has worked with many local athletes including, Talor Battle, Basketball (Penn State), Dion Lewis, Football (Pittsburgh), Jack Reilly, Lacrosse (Johns Hopkins), Julie McBride,Basketball (Syracuse/Europe), James Thomas, Basketball (Texas, NBA/Europe), Prosper Karangwa, Basketball, (Siena, Europe), just to name a few. Mike's expertise in developing athletes stems from his own personal experience as a collegiate and professional athlete. Grasso played Division I Football (Rhode Island )and Baseball (UAlbany). He was drafted in the 11th Round of the Major League Baseball Draft in 2002 by the Atlanta Braves and played for 3 years in their Minor League system. Grasso also assisted Coach Hurley with the Bishop Maginn basketball program for 3 seasons helping them win their first Sectional Championship. Grasso takes an interactive, hands-on approach to get athletes to the next level through basketball specific agility, speed and footwork training.
Julie is a former Catholic Central High School student-athlete, where she learned not to make excuses and pursue her dreams. One of Julie's proudest achievements came in December 2006 when her jersey No. 13 was retired to the Catholic High rafters.Julie continued her successful basketball career at Syracuse University, where she played from 2000-2004. She currently holds several SU records.
Additionally, she received Big East second team and Big East third team (twice) honors. Julie and SU men's basketball great Sherman Douglas are the only two SU players- men’s or women’s to finish their careers with 1,600 points and 500 assists. Syracuse Ms Hustle team award (twice) honors, given the Most Dedication to the SU program award and team captain both her junior and senior year. Became the first SU women's player ever to have consecutive games with 30 plus points (twice, 35 vs. Binghamton, 30 vs. UMass and 36 vs. Seton Hall, 31 vs. Miami). Ranks 5th all-time at SU Field Goals Made (514) and 7th in Steals (202).
Orlando DiBacco has coached high school basketball for the past 14 years. He played his high school ball at Watervliet High and continued his playing career at Utica College were he still ranks in the top 5 for assists in a single season. DiBacco has coached at Catholic Central, LaSalle, Bishop Maginn and is currently the Head Varsity Boys Coach at Watervliet HS. This past season he guided his team to a 23-2 record and runner-up in the New York State Class B high school championship. Coach DiBacco is an excellent teacher of the game. As a former point guard himself, he focuses on being strong with the basketball and teaching his players to utilize proper footwork to maximize their abilities.
